Happy New Year.

I was going to say I hope you’re feeling rested and ready for 2026 — but that didn’t feel quite right.

Instead, I’ve been reconnecting with how things actually feel.

If you read my last email, you’ll know I spent the festive period resting, reflecting and gently clearing out. Then a conversation with a friend lit the spark — and suddenly Feng Shui arrived with a vengeance in Rowntree Gardens.

In the space of two days, my studio was transformed, my office rearranged, and what had become a bit of a dumping ground (officially the pet room) is now a calm, intentional reflection space. Every room in my house now has a clear purpose.

The shift was immediate.

It feels lighter. Calmer. More aligned.
So thank you, Lisa.

What really struck me is this: nothing new came in.
I didn’t buy anything. I didn’t overhaul my life. I simply removed friction and gave things clearer places to land.

And it turns out — that makes an enormous difference.

I do have a wish list (mostly crystals, of course), but I’m not rushing. I’m using what I already have. Letting the space do the work first.

Naturally, this got me thinking about wardrobes.

Because wardrobes behave in exactly the same way as our homes. They quietly hold history — old identities, clothes for bodies, roles and lives we no longer inhabit, plus all those “just in case” pieces we’re not quite ready to release.

And like a cluttered room, a cluttered wardrobe creates low-level noise.

You might not consciously notice it — but your nervous system does.

Feng shui talks about flow and stagnation.
Modern psychology talks about decision fatigue and cognitive load.

Different language. Same effect.

When a wardrobe is overcrowded or emotionally loaded, getting dressed takes more energy than it should. We negotiate with ourselves, default to the same few things, and start the day already slightly depleted.

When space is created, something quietly shifts.

Getting dressed feels easier.
Choices feel clearer.
Confidence returns — without drama (unless that is your style).

This moment also feels symbolically important.

In the Chinese calendar, we’re nearing the end of the Year of the Snake — a year associated with shedding skins, slowing down, and noticing where we’ve been living on autopilot.

As we move into February, we enter the Year of the Fire Horse.

This is very different energy.

Movement. Momentum. Courage.
Trusting instinct. Taking action.

The shedding is done.

Which is exactly why this is such a powerful time to create space, align what surrounds us, and move forward.

If your wardrobe has been feeling noisy, heavy or slightly out of step, this is the perfect moment to address it — before the new season arrives.

And if you know your wardrobe needs work but don’t know where to start, this is exactly what I do with my clients.

A wardrobe edit isn’t about rules or perfection. It’s about clearing out what no longer fits your life or identity, reconnecting with what truly works for you now, and creating a space that supports ease, confidence and momentum as the year unfolds.

To mark this transition from shedding to forward motion, I’m offering wardrobe edits at a special rate of £395 (plus travel expenses) instead of £495 for any sessions booked and paid for before 17 February.

The edit itself can take place later — there’s no rush. Just a gentle nudge to say yes if it feels right.

If you’d like to explore this, message me and we can talk through what would suit you best.

For now, it’s simply worth noticing how your spaces feel — and what might be ready to shift next.

Sometimes clarity begins by making room.
